Born on 5 March 1994 in Stuttgart, he started his football career at the youth academy of VfB Stuttgart and later moved to Fortuna Dusseldorf where he became an important player. From 2022, he plays for FC Schalke 04 and is also part of the Turkish national team.

Ingredients for Menemen:
1 onion
2 green peppers
1 red pepper
6 tomatoes
1 ½ tbsp. olive oil
6 eggs
Salt with fluoride
Pepper
½ bunch parsley
2 tsp a pinch of red pepper
Red peppers
Ingredients for lavash:
Wheat flour, type 550
Salt
Olive oil
Sugar
1 cube of yeast or 1 packet of dry yeast
Water
Method of preparation:
For the pita, mix the flour and salt in a large bowl. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water and let stand for 5 minutes. Then add the yeast to the flour, add olive oil and enough warm water and knead until a soft dough is formed.
The dough is left in a warm place for 30 minutes, after which it is divided into equal parts and rolled into lavash. They are baked in a preheated oven at 250 degrees Celsius for 7-9 minutes until golden and crispy.
For the Menemen, cut the onions into small cubes and the peppers into strips. Tomatoes are also cut into small cubes. In a large pan, heat the olive oil and fry the onion for about 2 minutes, until it becomes soft. Then add the peppers and fry for another 5 minutes.
Add the tomatoes, savory and red peppers, and cook for another 5 minutes until the tomatoes are soft. Beat the eggs in a bowl, season with salt and pepper and beat with a fork. Pour the eggs into the pan and mix well until they set. Menemen is served with fresh parsley and freshly baked lavash!
